By gently stimulating and relaxing our fascia, this manual technique calms physical and mental pain, alleviates fatigue and stress, and puts our body back in tune.

Fascia is a Latin word meaning cloth or strip of cloth. In our body, this fine membrane envelopes muscles, bones, arteries, veins, nerves, viscera, brain, spinal cord, ligaments and links them to each other like a spider's web.

This tissue is animated by a slow micro-movement, which constitutes one of the expressions of vitality in the body. When this movement is disturbed, we become tired and the body becomes vulnerable. These fascias are hyper-sensitive and store all the emotions, shocks and stress the body receives, to the point where the body starts to compensate with pain, tension, functional disorders or joint problems.

How can Fasciatherapy help me?

Fasciatherapy is non-invasive and very respectful, it is deep and profound. It adjusts the tightness of all body tissues to a healthy balance allowing for ultimate physical adaptation to normal life events. It also triggers a proprioceptive response in the body which:
  • Counteracts pain loops in the brain
  • Gently stimulates lymph and blood flow
  • Lubricates joints - soothes organs
  • Relaxes muscles - balances the nervous system
  • Stimulates the immune system
Fasciatherapy is suited to all disorders, whether one is following a medical treatment protocol, or simply experiencing an energy dip. It is totally painless and there are no contra-indications.

Unlike Osteopathy, the Fasciatherapist does not use manipulations, but instead gently follows the flow of the movement inside the body with their hands, in this way identifying areas of blockage.

You will lie on the massage table while the therapist uses light pressure, very precise movement and slow mobilisation of the tissues to relax the fascia to re-establish a good flow of this vital natural rhythm.

Fasciatherapy will also help you to develop the perception you have of your own body, by gradually making you aware of the importance of feeling the sensations of your body.
